David Kidney MP Opens Office for Thriving Local Business

Stafford MP David Kidney joined a Staffordshire University graduate company to celebrate its expansion into new premises.
Delta Retail Solutions, which launched under the University’s Enterprise Fellowship Scheme in 2007, has been going from strength to strength and recently moved into new offices on Staffordshire Technology park.
Mr Kidney was invited to mark the official opening of the software development company’s HQ, at the United Business Centres.
During the event, the MP took a guided tour and met with company directors, Guy Powell, Peter Kinder and Vikesh Patel, before cutting the red ribbon and declaring Delta’s offices open.
Mr Kidney said: “Organisations like Delta are part of the success of our future economy.”
Peter Kinder, Managing Director of Delta Retail Solutions, said: “We were delighted that David Kidney was able to officially open our new offices and that he showed so much interest in what we are doing here. Staffordshire is an excellent location for a young business to thrive.”
Guy Powell, Delta’s Technical Director, added: “Staffordshire University played an important role in the development of Delta. If it wasn’t for a world-class Computing Science degree and the fantastic post-graduation support provided by the university and its enterprise development staff then Delta Retail Solutions would not be where it is today.”
Delta Retail Solutions is a software development company for the retail sector, whose flagship product, an electronic point of sales (EPOS) system called DRS ePos, helps to run a store’s till and back office.
The company was founded out of Staffordshire University’s Enterprise Fellowship Scheme which provided the business with an office for their first year, mentoring and financial assistance.
