Royal visit to Staffordshire University

Her Majesty The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, visited the Beaconside campus on Friday, March 31 2006, and officially opened the state-of-the-art Staffordshire University Television Centre.

During their visit The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh had the chance to view student work and to meet BBC television presenter Ashley Blake. The programme also included a performance by a student rock band The Haze who were interviewed by national TV journalist Nina Nannar, an Associate Governor of the University.
