Outcome 4. Capacity building

This Project will offer three-month student mobilities to 27 assistants (particularly those on a doctoral programme) to study at one of the EU partner universities.  During this study period, they will work with host university professors to upgrade their knowledge of their subject, attend some classes related to the topic of their thesis (particularly the research method modules) and work on their dissertation.  We expect this study period will speed up the training of the new generation of university teachers – who will gain some experience of the education and pedagogical styles of EU universities.

This aspect of the Project will also contribute significantly to the sustainability of the Project in the post-Tempus period.  The assistants benefiting from these study periods in EU universities will bring with them new knowledge and experiences, and develop a network upon which they can rely in their later academic life.
