Outcome 5. Purchase of Equipment
The participating faculties’ teaching and learning facilities vary from very good to poor, and in most cases need some upgrading. While some institutions need white boards, photocopiers, beamers and screens urgently, others require 'smart boards' and printing equipment. All would require computer laboratories for the use of students on the Masters Programme and participants on the Training Programme. Books and software relevant to the two programmes will also be identified in the course of the implementation of the Project and purchased. The equipment needed to upgrade the internet connection of partners will be particularly targetted as some partner country universities still do not have continuous access to the internet. The possibility of purchasing video-conferencing equipment, with co-financing from other sources would be investigated as this would enhance the number of specialists in EU universities participating in teaching and training activities.
