Outcome 2. A new Training Programme in Entrepreneurship

This programme will be linked to the Masters programme in Entrepreneurship and LED but will have a more practical and policy oriented content.  It may have different emphases in each of the three countries to reflect their specific needs and conditions and will consist of eight modules with relevance to entrepreneurship and LED.

The Training Programme will be offered to employees of the public sector institutions participating in the Project who are closely involved in preparing and implementing policies relating to local economic development and are the point of contact with potential entrepreneurs and investors.  The training programme will be worth 60 ECTS credits and those employees who have completed the programme will receive a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship from the participating Faculties.  The teaching and learning methodology for this programme will be the student-centred, policy-oriented method, drawing on the practical experience of participants as a vehicle for teaching.

Participants in the training programme will be able, at a later date, to continue their studies at the participating universities and by completing an additional 60 ECTS credits obtain a Masters degree, thus contributing to the establishment of a system of credit transfer in the participating institutions.

The teaching staff involved in the programme will be offered staff mobility visits (2-3 weeks long) to EU partner universities to upgrade their knowledge and prepare detailed teaching material for their subjects.  Professors and individual experts from EU partners will also participate in the delivery of these modules.  The Training Programme will be based at one of the universities in each country and, as with the Masters Programmes, professors from all partner universities in that country will take part in the delivery of the modules.
