Tempus programme

Tempus is the European Union’s programme which supports the modernisation of higher education in the Partner Countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Western Balkans and the Mediterranean region, mainly through university cooperation projects.  The programme started in 1990 and is currently in its fourth phase (Tempus IV).

Staffordshire University has strong links with many local and regional companies and institutions as well as institutions across Europe and Asia.  The Business School has an outstanding reputation for international cooperation, having coordinated 12 TEMPUS projects in Albania, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Poland and the Middle East and in addition managing an Erasmus Mundus masters award as well as a long standing scholarship programme supported by the Open Society Foundation (OSF).
