Estates
Overview
The Estates team is committed to the provision of a safe, secure and high quality learning, living and leisure environment that meets the needs and expectations of a diverse range of students, staff and customers. Our service offers support to all faculties, schools and services throughout the University. In doing so, we recognise the importance of being able to identify who we are, the services we provide and how to obtain them.

Building and Estates
Estates are responsible for the management of the University's land and buildings at Stoke-on-Trent (College Road and Leek Road campuses) and Stafford (Beaconside and Blackheath Lane campuses). The University also has a campus at Lichfield and occupies NHS property at Telford, Shrewsbury and Oswestry. It is responsible for:
- Capital building programme including University Quarter
- Long Term Maintenance programme plus day to day reactive maintenance
- Campus and residential services facilities management
- Grounds, roads and paths
- Energy management
- Environmental sustainability
- Space management
- Campus design and signage

Campus Services
The Campus Services Team is responsible for the provision of the following services:
- Security
- Portering
- Cleaning Services
- Postal Services
- Waste Disposal
- Car Parking
In case of emergencies, Campus Services provides a 24 hour emergency telephone number (01782) 294444 for the reporting of any emergency issues only, e.g. suspect people or security issues.

Health, Safety & Environmental Unit
The Health, Safety & Environmental Unit (HSEU) aims to provide a professional advisory service on Health, Safety and Environmental matters to the University management, to enable the organisation to meet its statutory and social duty of care to staff, students and others who may be affected by the activities of the University. Other functions include:
- Health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Health and safety training
- Environmental management strategy

Room Bookings
The central room bookings office is responsible for the management and allocation of all centrally controlled teaching and meeting rooms on the Stoke and Stafford campuses.
