Staffordshire University's Work Experience Programme aims to provide over 100 structured work experience placements each year, to local young people across a range of departments. Each placement is set up to support the Work Related Learning Curriculum and develop understanding around Employability including advice on using the placement experience in preparing for a job interview, college interview or writing a personal statement.

Staffordshire University is a large local employer with a diverse staff team providing a wide range of employment opportunities.  In delivering this programme, the University aims to serve the local community.  By raising awareness  amongst young people of the wide range of work available, it may also improve its ability to recruit staff from the school leaver age-group.
