Stoke-on-Trent is one of the most culturally significant cities in the UK, rich in industrial heritage and creative artistic flair. Just an hour’s drive away from Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham, its central location in the UK means that it’s home to a wealth of national and global businesses, with headquarters close-by, such as Vodafone, JCB, and many more!
It’s hard to mention Stoke-on-Trent without mentioning ceramics. Since the 17th Century, the city has been known for its ceramics industry, housing notable names such as Thomas Minton and Josiah Wedgwood. It’s not just the past either, to this day Stoke-on-Trent still produces exquisite ceramics from bespoke companies such as Emma Bridgewater and Moorcroft pottery too.
Our University
When founded in 1914, we set out to be modern, relevant and vocationally inspired, something we still are today. Our heritage is important but so are our connections to the future. We continue to be pioneers. And we always put our students first.
