Types of Jobs

The JobShop is a free service for students.

• part-time term-time work (wide range in local area)
• Vacation work - locally and throughout the UK (summer)
• Voluntary work
• Paid summer placements (usually subject specific).  JobShop does not offer 12 month placements - these will be available through your faculty placements office.

• Help you get some advice on your CV and application forms, so you maximise your chances at interview.
• Help you get some interview practice
• Give you important information about your rights and responsibilities
• Workshops will also be run throughout the year on topics such as getting a part time job, CVs, interviews, applications - don't miss out.
• JobFairs where you can meet local employers and find out about their jobs
• Signpost you to other relevant opportunities to help you raise your employability.
