Course outline

If you're interested in business and have the drive and determination to complete an honours degree at an accelerated pace, our Two-year Fast-track Business Management degree is for you. You'll complete an honours degree in just two years.

You will study over the summer, but you'll be able to enter the job market a year early or have the option of gaining a Masters qualification within three years. You will also have the opportunity to experience an overseas residential in the summer of the first year.

Our experienced tutors know exactly how to manage and deliver a compressed accelerated teaching programme. They are experienced in key business disciplines - from marketing and human resources to strategy, operations and supply chain management. You will also benefit from our close links with industry.

You'll follow the same programme of study as students on the three-year Business Management degree. You'll then study modules that are delivered by blended learning (a mixture of distance learning and face-to-face delivery) to accelerate your progression.

The summer semester includes a compulsory two or three week accelerated teaching block, which includes a short overseas residential. We try to incorporate a visit to a multinational organisation during this trip. This will then form the focus for the assessment of one of your summer modules.

Student success

"Whilst studying on the two year BA (Hons) Business Management degree, I was able to develop many management skills that enabled me to progress towards my future career. By gaining this prestigious award I was accepted onto a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme between Staffordshire University and GDM Heat Transfer Ltd. As a result I won the Business Leaders of Tomorrow Award and achieved an outstanding for the overall project. This is an accomplishment that was made possible by the two-year fast-track course.

"I would highly recommend the Business Management Two-year Fast-track course to any individual who wants to fast-track their career into senior management. It requires hard work and commitment but gives the business student a unique selling point in a very competitive market."

Lisa Finney BA (Hons) Business Management (Two-year Fast-track)

"Graduating with a two-year fast-track degree in Business Management indicates to employers that I am a major player in the graduate jobs market and that I am keen to get ahead. The workload on this programme is very demanding as it is designed for exceptional students and this experience has been highly rewarding and good preparation for the future. After graduating with a First Class I applied to many organisations and I was lucky enough to be interviewed by most and I was actually in a position to choose from several job offers.

"It was very apparent that my fast-track status was the focus of attention and it played a pivotal role in my eligibility for various positions within these organisations. I chose to go with Nationwide Building Society as a Customer Service Representative within its Retail Banking division in London as it has great developmental opportunities and a fast-track route to its Specialist and Support Management programme."

Hafsa Mahmood, BA (Hons) Business Management (Two-year Fast-track)
