Our accredited Sports Therapy degree gives you the skills, knowledge and experience needed to treat and rehabilitate professional and amateur athletes.

Whether you have ambitions of working within the professional sports environment or running your own clinic, this course prepares you for a successful career in sports therapy

With sports therapy backgrounds in private practice, professional and semi-professional sport, your tutors bring practical experience to their academic knowledge. With their support you’ll build skills in injury assessment, exercise rehabilitation, and soft techniques include massage and joint mobilisation skills as well as developing a scientific understanding of the physiological response to exercise.

You’ll learn how to provide first aid and emergency trauma management in a high-pressure sports setting and further to your external placement, our own SUST clinic  will give you experience of a professional working practice and learn how to work with real people to overcome their injuries.

In short, we’ll train you into professional sports therapists ready to work across the dynamic sports industry.

A loan is also available for part-time students studying at least 25% (30 credits) per year.

However, if you already hold a degree, or another qualification at the same level, you may not qualify for this loan.

For further information on eligibility and how to apply visit apply-for-student-finance.

Repayment (current arrangements):

9% of income over £21,000 per year.

If you are living in the UK: Your employer will deduct repayments when your salary reaches the threshold (currently £21,000 per year). Different arrangements are made to collect repayments from those living outside the UK.

For further information on repayment visit student loan repayment.

*The fees listed are for the 2017/18 academic year only. Any subsequent years may be subject to an inflationary uplift.
