What our students say
My name is Dawn Wong Mei Ping. I have recently graduated from Staffordshire University with a degree in Accounting and Finance.
Over the course of the two years that I was in Staffs, I have truly enjoyed myself. I have met great lecturers. On a personal basis, I feel that they are so patient and caring and they have sacrificed a lot of their time guiding us. Besides guiding me in terms of academic matters, they have also guided me in other areas as well. I have asked a few of them regarding this industry and my future career path and they never hesitate to share their knowledge and experience with me.
Besides the academic staff, there is also the support staff from the office. They are always more than willing to lend a helping hand to us students. I have approached them numerous times during my time in Staffs but they were still as helpful as always.
I have also met friends from all walks of life and from various countries during these two years. I am especially grateful to Dianne (the student representative) for all her guidance and help that she has provided.
I was confused as to whether I should take up ACCA but thanks to an advice given by a lecturer, I am now working in a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firm and am seeking to study ACCA course once I have gained some experience in the practical world of accounting and auditing.
Overall, it was a very fruitful two years for me. I will like to take this opportunity to thank the lecturers, especially the above lecturers as well as the academic staff for all your help.
