Business Management (Top-Up)

This course is a top-up degree for holders of a HND in a business related subject or an equivalent qualification. The award aims to develop your understanding and skills to degree level. Emphasis is on the development of business management skills in both group and individual situations. The core modules are designed to achieve an all round understanding of business issues and to develop students’ problem solving skills. Developing students’ ability to achieve satisfactory outcomes, through effective strategic and risk management is also a key part of the course.

Students taking the BA(Hons) Business Management top-up award, follow a similar structure to students on the final year of the three-year BA(Hons) Business Management award which emphasises strategic and risk management, the management of change and contemporary management issues.
You will develop your analytical abilities and strategic decision-making skills, as well as improving your business knowledge and management skills and developing your own business interests.

Additionally, on completion of this award to honours level, you will be able to apply for University’s Business Masters programmes, or, with two years work experience, the highly acclaimed MBA. Graduates would have the necessary skills to seek employment as managers in either the service industries, public or manufacturing sectors.
