What our students say
"Whilst studying on the 2 year BA Hons Business Management degree, I was able to develop many management skills that enabled me to progress towards my future career. By gaining this prestigious award I was accepted onto a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Scheme between Staffordshire University and GDM Heat Transfer Ltd. As a result I won the Business Leaders of Tomorrow Award and achieved an outstanding for the overall project. This is an accomplishment that was made possible by the 2 year Award.
I would highly recommend the 2 year Business management Award to any individual who wants to fast track their career into senior management. It requires hard work and commitment but gives the business student a unique selling point in a very competitive market."

BA(Hons) Business Management (2 Year- Fast track)
What it’s about
The two-year Business Management degree enables you to complete your full honours degree in two years rather than three. This is achieved by studying three teaching blocks each year. The first block is from September to January, the second block is from February to May and the third block is from June to September. It is designed to be flexible in that you can transfer to the three-year degree if you decide that you need a slower pace of study. Fast-track two-year degrees are recognised and supported by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) which is funding new initiatives into flexible learning.
What you do
During the first two teaching blocks you will follow the same programme of study as students on the three year Business Management degree. In teaching block three you will study modules that are delivered by blended learning (a mixture of distance learning combined with some face-to-face delivery). The modules that you will study over the first two teaching blocks will cover the main areas of business, the business environment and the legal environment of business, people and marketing issues and business skills.
Further teaching blocks will provide students with a thorough understanding of all areas of business with a distinctive management theme running through the course with modules on Critical Thinking for Management, the Enterprise Manager, Contemporary Management Issues and the Changing Face of Management. A key part of the course is the constant development of the skills you will need to succeed, such as presenting and communicating your ideas and findings, using IT, dealing with difficult issues and situations and solving problems.
Where next
This award offers a wide range of potential career options in general management. It is also suitable If you would like to go on to obtain a professional qualification within a specific business area, such as marketing or finance.
