An open access programme for students who are working in, are interested in, or seeking a career in, Human Resource Management (Personnel). The course is a basic introduction to personnel management covering a range of traditional personnel activities in a practical way. All students need to become a Student Member of the CIPD at the beginning of the course.
What are the aims of the award?
This study programme leads to the Certificate in Human Resource Practice awarded by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the recognised professional body of Personnel and Human Resource practitioners. The Certificate is a widely recognised professional qualification. It is aimed at those who have been given, or are about to be given, personnel responsibilities in their organisation, or for those who aspire to such a position. Preferably, entrants should be supported by their employers so that you have the opportunity to put learning to practice.
