Course Details
A one day course combining lectures and workshops covering all aspects of infectious respiratory disease.
The cause of respiratory infections and their laboratory diagnosis will be addressed.
The course will cover :
General introduction to causative agents including viruses, bacteria (with an emphasis on TB)
The role of Health Protection Agency in the control of swine flu
The role of the Mycobacterial Reference Laboratories
Current topics in respiratory infections will also be discussed
