Course Details

A one day course combining lectures and workshops covering all aspects of infectious respiratory disease.

The cause of respiratory infections and their laboratory diagnosis will be addressed.

The course will cover :

  • General introduction to causative agents including viruses, bacteria (with an emphasis on TB)

  • The role of Health Protection Agency in the control of swine flu

  • The role of the Mycobacterial Reference Laboratories

  • Current topics in respiratory infections will also be discussed
