All the awards are designed to help you with your day-to-day work teaching, supporting other teachers in improving their work and leading and managing in schools, colleges, community settings, workplaces, local authorities and other education settings.
This award focuses on developing practice in relation to the needs of the organisation. A variety of modules can be studied including: Educational Leadership; Community Learning; Learning and Assessment; Data for Educational Improvement; Mentoring and Coaching, Inter-professional Working.
What you do
Our guiding principle is to place learning in the workplace at the heart of the programme. This means that what you learn in the workplace is just as important as the formal study you undertake with us. We work closely with employers to ensure that the programme is relevant and responsive to the complex demands of education contexts.
We value the knowledge that you have already gained through your prior experience and you are encouraged to contribute your ideas and experiences in taught sessions.
Organisations can negotiate the content of the Cetificate and Diploma levels of the award to meet organisational development needs. For the final Masters stage, everyone does a Research Methods module and a Dissertation.
Where next?
Once you have your Masters degree, you will have the opportunity to progress to our PhD and EdD awards, Doctoral level programmes aimed at helping you develop your capabilities even further.
