What it's about

Getting Communities Involved explores strategies for empowering communities. You will examine the values underpinning community empowerment, power relations in communities, and diverse strategies for engaging communities in processes aimed at challenging inequalities, influencing the delivery of services, and promoting change.

The course is designed for anyone who has an interest in working with and empowering communities.

The course runs over 3 days:

Wednesday 5th October 2011 9.30am - 4.30pm

Wednesday 26th October 2011 9.30am - 4.30pm

Wednesday 16th November 2011 9.30am - 4.30pm

Level One (NQF 4) £202.50, Masters (NQF 7) £247.50. Fee reductions may be available for students on low incomes, pensions or benefits.
