Course details
A one day course combining lectures and practical sessions.
This is a practical course with emphasis on the identification of faecal parasites by microscopy and includes methods of preparation of samples, current views about pathogenicity of various parasites and parasites associated with immunosuppresion. Practicals will be supported by appropriate lectures.
The course will also provide participants with a general introduction to the structure and life cycles of common gastro-intestinal parasites, their pathogenicity and epidemiology.
