Leading Enterprise Learning

This programme is taught at University campus locations in Stoke, Stafford and Lichfield. It can also be based in a school or college in order to support staff carrying out key tasks for themselves and their organisations where numbers allow.

If you already have some Masters level credits (from your PGCE or other courses for example) you may be able to fast track part of the award.

This award is a Postgraduate Certificate. The award is designed to help you with your day-to-day work teaching, supporting other teachers in improving their work and leading and managing in schools, colleges, community settings, workplaces, local authorities and other education settings.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Leading Enterprise Learning aims to support the professional developmnet of experience individuals working in the field of enterprise education in schools. This includes professionals working for agencies and private organisations supporting the development of enterprise education as well as teaching staff engaged in developing curricula and improving learning in schools. The award is intended for those who already have some experience in teaching or supporting enterprise learning with school students. The award is designed to support critical analysis of students' learning and the design of approaches to teaching and curricula to support that learning. Therefore, it aims to provide opportunities for searching reflection on the distinctive features of effective learning in enterprise education.

Our guiding principle is to place learning in the workplace at the heart of the programme. This means that what you learn in the workplace is just as important as the formal study you undertake with us. We work closely with employers to ensure that the programme is relevant and responsive to the complex demands of education contexts.

We value the knowledge that you have already gained through your prior experience and you are encouraged to contribute your ideas and experiences in taught sessions.

Once you have your Postgraduate Certificate award, you will have the opportunity to progress to our MA Education awards, aimed at helping you develop your capabilities even further.
