What it's about
The respected MSc Management award is intended primarily for those with business ability and qualifications who want to take their UK career to greater heights.
The main difference between this award and the MBA is that the MSc Management does not require entrants to be experienced managers. This makes the course suitable for recent graduates who want to move into postgraduate study in the field of Business and Management.
This part-time award attracts a range of graduate calibre ambitious managers from a variety of commercial and industrial firms and public sector organisations. They experience a challenging and stimulating course in general management as a stepping off point for the next stage of their personal and career development. The award structure permits students to take an option in their final semester which allows for greater breadth in the award.
What you do
The broad aim of the MSc Management is to provide you with a thorough grounding in the principles of management and in the main functional areas of business followed by their integration through the application of strategic management principles to corporate achievement. This is coupled with the chance to explore a broad choice of topic options and the development of a special depth of knowledge within a field of your choice for your dissertation. We also aim to use the breadth of experience reflected within the cohort of your fellow students to support and encourage personal growth and capability by widening your own horizons. In part, this is achieved through mixed class discussions, group work and attending a UK residential.
