What it's about
The MBA (Finance) focuses on developing your career in the financial sphere, especially in the financial operation of multinational corporations in an environment of open and integrated financial markets. You will cover the differences between foreign and domestic investment, financing international projects, sourcing of subsidiary finance and management of country risk. This is harmonised with the study of managerial finance risk appraisal and management techniques such as hedging and option pricing.
You will experience a challenging and stimulating intensive course in management, with a financial perspective, to enhance your personal and career development. To facilitate this you will use, share and reflect upon your experiences alongside those of others in your Learning Team. You will be allocated to your small multi-cultural 'Learning Team' during induction. A few Learning Teams are combined to form Tutorial groups, with each having their own personal tutor.

The MBA (Finance) aims to provide you with a thorough grounding in Business Finance Management via integrating the main functional areas through the application of strategic financial management. Your academic development is supported in your 'Professional and Academic Support Skills' Module.

Where Next?
After completing this award, students work in positions in many aspects of the financial world. Positions include financial analyst, financial consultant in organisations such as international financial institutions, stock markets, foreign exchange markets, consultancy companies. Professional qualifications to follow this award include Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA).
