A one day course combining lectures and workshops.
The idea behind the course is to provide an introduction to molecular biology and the role it plays in the microbiology laboratory.
It will aim to remove the myth behind PCR and other molecular techniques.
Current commercially available automation and tests will be discussed eg. Chlamydia, MRSA, C.difficile, HIV resistance testing, antiviral monitoring
