Identifying the role of the practice nurse, experiencing the role in a supervised and mentored capacity. An introduction to some of the key clinical conditions that are frequently encountered and development of key clinical skills.

Course Start:	Taught Module September & January each year, though available for local delivery if minimum of 10 students enrolled Open Learning Module Flexible start - in negotiation with module tutor
Course Length:	12 weeks
Attendance:	Taught module - Delivery day varied to allow access wider experience in clinical practice Open learning – no direct tutor contact, self directed study – flexible start.
Entry Requirements:	Valid NMC registration – adult nursing Access to supervised and mentored clinical placement in general practice for minimum of 30 hours while undertaking module.
