Optional Competencies (Health Psychology)

What it's about
You can study any two of the following Health Psychology competencies to form a 45 credit module to meet your own learning requirements. (You must choose two, you cannot study just one)
implementing an intervention
directing the implementation of an intervention
communicating processes and outcomes of interventions and consultancies
providing expert advice
promoting psychological principles, practices, services and benefits
aiding policy decision making
contributing to the evolution of legal, ethical and professional standards.
disseminating psychological knowledge to address current social issues in Health Psychology
This 45 credit module can be studied on its own or as part of the Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology.

| Entry Requirements: | You must have attained at least a merit or 60% on an MSc in Health Psychology which is accredited by the British Psychological Society or Stage 1 training for Chartered Health Psychologist Status. In some circumstances we can accept individuals who do not have the above entry requirements but do have prior experience in the area of Health Psychology.
