  • 45 Credits at level  5 or 6

What it's about

This module is for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors.  If  you want to work within Sexual Health Services as a Contraception and Sexual Health (CASH) Nurse or within other sexual health services such as Clinic in a Box, then this module is for you as it makes up the first part of the CASH course. Please be aware that due to the nature of the course and the work of a sexual health practitioner, lay language for body parts and conditions may be used in context during some sessions.

What you do

This module will focus on the application of sexual health theory into clinical practice by a combination of class based teaching and supervised, assessed clinical practice.  During this module, you will undertake 48 hours of supervised, assessed clinical practice, organised by local Trusts in conjunction with the Module leader.  Prior to undertaking this module you must have completed the module Sexual Health – Theory. Both modules make up the CASH Course.
Both parts of the course can be studied at either Level 5 or Level 6.
