Course Details
A one day course which will provide participants with an overview of the action and resistance of commonly used antibiotics. Key issues such as ESBLs and MRSA will be discussed in the context of clinical implications of resistance. The course will include a workshop looking at methods available for antibiotic susceptibility testing and will include qualitative and quantitative testing, recording and interpretation of results understanding the limitations of testing. Current national and international guidelines for susceptibility testing will also be discussed.
