After Your Assessment
After your Assessment, the Assessor will write up a comprehensive report about your study needs and support strategies that you have considered and agreed.
The report will contain recommendations within the scope of the Disabled Students' Allowances for the consideration of your funding body. It will also contain advice for you and your University or College.
We will send you a copy of your report so that you can check it. If you agree that it is accurate, we will ask you to sign it and send it back to us. If there are any changes you would like us to make, you can send it back to us for further consideration.
When we have checked your report, we will send a final copy to your funding authority for their decision on funding the report’s recommendations.
If you tell us to do so, we will send a copy of your report to the Disability Support Service at your University or College.
Once your funding authority has reached a decision they will tell you in writing, and in detail, the recommendations they are able to approve. They will tell you which equipment suppliers and support providers you should use and the arrangements for payments that you must follow.
You are strongly advised not to order any recommended equipment until your funding authority has informed you in writing that you may do so.
