Compliments, Complaints and Suggestions
The Student Enabling Centre wants to provide the very best service it can. We know that we do some things well because you tell us so. We also recognise that, on occasions, things can go wrong and we need to know about this as well. Your thoughts help us to plan our service better.
In order for you to let us know what you think of our service, please refer to the following:
Compliments
There are a number of ways by which you can pass us a compliment:
- Write us a note and drop it into Reception at the Cadman Courtyard or the One Stop Shop
- Tell any member of the team. We’ll then make a written note for our records
- Telephone us on 01782 294977. We’ll also make a written note for our records
- By e-mail to the feedback line at disability@staffs.ac.uk
Complaints
We take complaints very seriously. We also aim to resolve complaints without resorting to the official complaints procedure, whenever possible, and will always do this by discussing the issues with the person who raises the complaint. If your complaint is against an individual member of staff within the service, we would prefer it if you raised it with that individual, in the first instance. All staff can be contacted through reception on 01782 294977 or by calling at the office during the opening hours of 9 am – 5 pm weekdays. If you feel you cannot discuss the issue with the member of staff concerned, please feel free to use the procedure outlined below.
Complaints can be raised:
- In person at the Student Enabling Centre offices at Stoke or Stafford
- By telephone to the Head of the Student Enabling Centre on 01782 294982
- By e-mail to the feedback line at disability@staffs.ac.uk
- In writing to:
Head of the Student Enabling Centre
Cadman Courtyard
College Road
Stoke on Trent
ST4 2DE
We will aim to respond to your complaint within one week of receipt and will keep you informed of progress. If the complaint cannot be resolved by the Service, we will help you to take it further.
Suggestions
We are constantly striving to improve our service and welcome suggestions on how we can do this. We particularly welcome suggestions from disabled people.
You can make a suggestion in one of the following ways:
- In person, to any member of the Student Enabling Centre Staff
- In writing, to the address above
- by e-mail to the feedback line at disability@staffs.ac.uk
- by telephone to 01782 294973
If we can support you with any aspect, please ask us. We’d be delighted to help.
Confidentiality
All information received through these procedures will be treated in confidence in keeping with the Data Protection Act 1998.
