Book a Place

Before you start to complete the booking form please ensure you have the following information to hand:

• Your full contact details
• Details of the Faculty/School of your chosen course - you can find this in the prospectus or Online Prospectus
• Details of any special requirements

In addition before commencing your application please note:

• You need to determine at booking whether you wish to attend an advertised residential or non-residential event.
• Check which advertised event site you wish to attend Step Ahead (subject to the availability of places) - most students attend the site that their own course is being delivered on. Although you may apply to attend at either Stoke or Stafford sites for the purpose of Step Ahead.
• Please note that it is a University requirement that all students attending these events are over 18 at the time of attending their chosen summer school. Unfortunately we can not accept anyone under 18 with parental consent.
• You will need to ensure that you will be able to attend all the advertised dates of your chosen event 3 days residential or 2 days non-residential.

As part of the booking form process you will be asked a series of questions that will contribute to evaluative research that is being conducted as part of the Step Ahead programme. This research is to determine the impact that Step Ahead may have on attending students prior to and after commencing at the University. You need to consent to participating in this evaluative research in order to attend one of the Step Ahead summer schools. Attendance at Step Ahead is completely free of charge inclusive of accommodation, meals and social programme for residential events and lunches for non-residential events. As the available places for Step Ahead are restricted we reserve the right to charge a fee if you do not attend or cancel following pre booking a place.

We cannot guarantee a place for all interested students the online booking system will advise you if there are places still available.
