Student Appeals, Complaints and Conduct

Any issues that you are not happy about in relation to your individual experience, whether it be to do with the standard of service or actions by the University or its staff, can usually be resolved informally.  If you would like to talk an issue through with someone before submitting a formal complaint you can contact one of the Faculty Student Guidance Advisors or University Student Guidance Officer or the Students' Union Advice Centre.

If you consider your complaint has not been satisfactorily resolved you can use the University Complaints Procedure (PDF, file size: 219.5KB) .  You will need to complete a Complaints Form (C1) and forward it to the Dean of Students and Director of Student Experience either by post or by email to appeals-complaints@staffs.ac.uk.

The Student Appeals Complaints and Conduct Manager administers the appeals, complaints and disciplinary procedures on behalf of the Dean of Students and Director of Student Experience.

Where your complaint relates to Union services, please report it to the Students' Union Reception staff who will provide you with details of its complaints policy and procedure.
