Module Evaluation
Subject tutors will ask you to evaluate your learning experience on their modules by completing a questionnaire at the end of the module. You will also be asked to complete a questionnaire at the end of the year about your general experience as a student on a particular award
This information is then fed through the Annual Monitoring Process which results in actions at Award, Faculty and University level. These actions are monitored throughout the year, through Committees which have student representation
For further information, please visit your Faculty/School pages
Student-Staff Liaison Groups
Each subject area has a Student-Staff Liaison Group (SSLG) chaired by the Award Leader. These meetings are an effective way of monitoring your award in each Faculty/School and identifying/resolving any issues that may arise
For more details please see your Faculty/School student handbook
Other committees
There are also a large number of other committees both in the Faculty/School and in the University as a whole, which have student members
For more details please see your student handbook
Appeals and Complaints
We recognise that there may be occasions when our feedback process is not sufficient to deal with a specific issue. For this reason we have a formal University Complaints Procedure (PDF, file size: 219.5KB)
Before submitting a formal complaint, we would suggest, wherever possible, you take the opportunity to resolve your grievance, informally at a local level within your Faculty/School. You can also talk to your Faculty Student Guidance Advisor or a Student Guidance Officer
