Sport at Staffordshire University recognises that there are many different needs and expectations that students, staff and the public will have in relation to sports and activity.

Sports Facilities
There are excellent sports and recreation facilities at both the Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent campuses. All facilities and activities are available to students, staff and the general public and are provided by Hospitality and Leisure Services - Sports Centres.
Our facilities are available for hire by individuals, groups and clubs. We currently host various martial arts clubs, the Aston Villa F.C Development Centre, Little Stoke Cricket Club (Juniors), junior and senior football clubs, Stafford Ladies Hockey Club, Stafford Mens Hockey Club, day care centres, NHS Referral Groups and many local schools.
Beaconside Sports Centre
Superbly equipped, modern facility in Stafford with a busy programme of activities. Features include a sports hall, fitness centre, dance studio, two Astroturf pitches, grass pitches, sauna and sports therapy clinic. Read more about Beaconside Sports Centre »
Sir Stanley Matthews Sports Centre
Located in Stoke, an impressive multi-sport facility popular with students, staff and the local community. It features a sports hall, health and fitness suite, two Astroturf pitches, grass pitches and training areas and an activity room for yoga, aerobics, pilates and other pursuits.
