The Student Advisor Team are all recent graduates with an enthusiasm for promoting the benefits of higher education, dispelling myths and giving support where needed.

This event gives advisors and teachers an in-depth view of life as a student at Staffordshire University and is delivered when Year 11 and Year 12 students are on exam study leave. Our student advisors aim to provide long-term, intensive contact with students on a 1:1 ratio, helping students who are unsure about their next steps, addressing individual worries and needs.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Staffordshire Higher Education Convention, which is organised by Staffordshire University and Keele University.

Held in June of each year, we host and manage this event which offers a large seminar programme covering all aspects of Higher Education. In 2011, 103 HE institutions exhibited, with over 5000 students attending the event.

To support this event, we offer a talk “preparation for your visit to the Higher Education Convention”, as well as follow up visits to students, helping them with what happens next.

You will get much more out of this event if you take the time to find out in advance about the higher education opportunities available and try to match these to your interests, abilities, study and lifestyle preferences.

Choosing the right university for you is a hugely important decision – it's a potential life changer! Staffordshire University's general open days are aimed, in the main, at students who are considering which university to put on their UCAS form.   But we’re happy to welcome anyone along.
We run general open days when both our Stafford and Stoke campuses are open to all. These take place in June, August, September, October and November. In addition, we have subject-related Open Days and Departmental Open Days for applicants - running throughout the early spring. Students still considering their options can attend these events.

These are mini Open Days for applicants who couldn’t attend the main or faculty Open Days but who still want to have a look around the university. There are seven dates set throughout May. Applicants have the opportunity to meet with a member of staff to discuss their subject of interest as well as touring our campus and accommodation.

We can organise a day for your students to experience what it is like to study at a university using industry specification equipment.

An on-campus challenge where students have to navigate their way around the campus by solving a set of clues.
