Investment

The 2010 Times Higher Education survey identifies Staffs as one of the three ‘most improved’ universities in the UK. We invest heavily in our facilities, in our student support services, and in your future.
We’ve recently put £4 million towards providing student bursaries to those who otherwise may not be able to afford to attend university. And we’ve put another £4 million into providing a wide range of services to support our students during their time with us. This includes careers advice, chaplaincy services, nurseries, general guidance and also support for those with disabilities. We also seek investment outside to improve out community such as the £36 million boost for North Staffordshire University Quarter which brings together Staffordshire University, Stoke on Trent FE College and Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College. The move will encourage people to progress into University education as well as major improvements to shared facilities as well as commercial and residential development.
To ensure we’re always up-to-date, we continually investing our buildings, our computer facilities and our libraries. And because we’re committed to providing the very best learning facilities that we can, we’re also proud to be working with colleges across the region to create UniQ, the development of an exciting and innovative University Quarter. UniQ will provide better opportunities for everyone in the region. And at its forefront will be our new Science and Technology centre.
