Chancellor's Forum

The 2011 Chancellor’s Forum was a milestone event in Staffordshire University’s history. It marked the last for Lord Bill Morris, who has served as Chancellor since 2004, and the first for new Vice-Chancellor Michael Gunn, who joined in January 2011. Alongside their inspirational speeches, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Paul Richards gave an update on the University Quarter project.

Guests were then shown around a number of flagship programmes taking place across the University, including the generation of green energy, forensic science kits for school pupils, a demonstration of a state-of-the-art scanning laser, and shocking research into the effects of smoking on appearance.
