Staffordshire University is now engaged in a number of collaborative partnerships with organisations (Colleges, Academies etc.) across the U.K. In this collaboration, the University acts as the academic partner that secures the quality, standards and credibility of the courses they deliver.

Our partners deliver these courses to their students as part of the distributed strategy of Staffordshire University.

Oasis College, London is a specialist College of Higher Education with a distinctive Christian ethos offering programmes of learning in work and ministry with children, young people, families and communities. Our specialist focus means we are a small and purposeful community of staff and students committed to the equipping and resourcing people and communities.

We offer a range of programmes from foundation courses to Masters Degrees, validated by Staffordshire University. This partnership ensures all our awards meet the highest of academic and professional standards.

The College is located in the heart of London at the Oasis Centre, Waterloo. It is therefore easy to reach by train, tube, bus and air. We offer students 24/7 access to College facilities and welcome students from across the UK and the Eurozone onto full and part-time programmes of learning.

Oasis College is distinctive because of the Christian ethos that underpins our support for students and our emphasis on practical experience. We believe in learning by doing, and offer high levels of support for new and experienced workers to draw on theoretical knowledge and theological reflection to develop work and ministry with children, young people, families and communities.

Our students will either be placed in a fieldwork placement or continue in their existing setting while studying with us. This, typically, means travelling into College for taught sessions and personal study on a weekly or monthly basis depending on the level and length of the programme of study.

• Foundation Courses in Working with Children, Young People, Families and Communities

• Undergraduate Courses in Youth Work*, Children’s Work, Family Support Work and Ministry

• A Graduate Diploma in Youth Work and Ministry** (Subject to Validation)

• Postgraduate Courses in Children’s & Families Ministry, Youth Ministry, Community Ministry and Pastoral Ministry

* The BA (Hons) Youth Work and Ministry is JNC recognised
** The Graduate Diploma in Youth Work and Ministry is seeking JNC recognition to begin in Sept. 2011
