BLOG - AMD Design Show Lockout

Concentration and adrenaline levels were at peak levels across the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design here at Staffordshire University yesterday. Students were locked out of their studios at 5pm yesterday (25th May) as assessment on their final work begins.

There were differing scenes across the faculty leading up to the cut-off time, with some last minute preparations in some places, and empty studios in others. While some of the students had been up for over thirty hours finishing their displays and portfolios, others were ready hours before the deadline.

Students at Staffordshire University are preparing to be locked out of the University’s Degree Show as the set closes for assessment.

The Arts, Media and Design students are busy finalising their pieces before the doors are locked and marking begins. Months of hard work and preparation have gone into each individual piece; and today marks the final crucial hours where the students will arrange their work into the galleries ready for display.

Work from all areas within the faculty makes up the show, and this is a chance for the students, their families, friends and potential employers to see their efforts in the spotlight. The show also warmly welcomes members of the public to come and view what is sure to be an exciting and fascinating exhibition of up and coming creative people.
