Success at 'Picturing Time' for Graphic Design Graduate

As above as below

Graphic Design graduate, Matthew Lucas has achieved 2nd place in a new competition organised by The Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.

'Picturing Time' asked students to explore the idea of time through their own chosen medium. The competition received 221 entries from 182 students at 33 UK universities and colleges. Matthew was presented with a cheque for £600 at a reception at Sotheby's for his work As Above So Below

Matthew said: "The outcome was inspired by old methods of telling the time, as these seemed to capture the beauty of time and it’s grand scale much better than modern digital watches that tick past in milliseconds. When I found out about the result I was over the moon (no pun intended!) and the whole event was great. The location at Sotheby's couldn't have been more prestigious."

Winning entries were displayed at Sotheby's Colonnade Gallery during the summer.
