Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a new broader and more flexible product evolved from it's predecessor TCS (Teaching Company Scheme).

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are part Government funded collaborations designed to help thriving businesses improve their competitiveness by accessing academic knowledge, expertise and resources within Staffordshire University. Many local companies have already discovered how Staffordshire University and graduates can benefit their business with specialist skills, knowledge, enthusiasm and a fresh perspective.

The Business School's KTP partnership arrangements can be designed in consultation with business organisations to ensure that they use existing and new knowledge, technology and skills more effectively to gain competitive advantage.

The Business School has been involved with a number of different KTP projects in the last few years, two recent examples are Glenville Engineering and Meyes & Warwick. In both cases the aim of the project was to streamline information flow and reduce lead time, thus increasing the competitive advantage.
