A first for Stafford campus BSc Hons Film

A first for Stafford campus BSc Hons Film course this year....
A student film crew has been nominated for the prestigious Royal Television Society Awards 2008 for the Drama category.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Philip Swart, Dominic Thomas, Yohann Desmoyers-Davis, Robert Unwin & Kevin Philemon-Uduehi (now in their final year on Film).
This is the first time the Faculty has entered students' work from the BSc Hons course here in Stafford into the industry event which is broadcast every year.
The team were entered into the Drama category and successfully beat some hefty competition.
The group were entered for the award and funded by Staffordshire University earlier this summer. They are now short listed with two other finalists for the student drama category on Saturday 25th October.

Their film A Soldier's War has been nominated by industry professionals & universities across the region and the event is being staged at the television awards in Birmingham next month.
Fiona Graham & Paul Ottey, Royal Television Society co-coordinators for Film, Stafford and are also Film Production Technology Award lecturers, wish the team every success and good luck for the final!
