Workshop on Human Adaptive Mechatronics 13-14 May 2010

Professor Hongnian Yu’s EPSRC-funded UK-Japan Network on Human Adaptive Mechatronics is organising an International Workshop on Human Adaptive Mechatronics to be held at Loughborough University on 13-14 May 2010. This will provide an opportunity for researchers in the fields of AI, Automation, Computing, Human Science, Intelligent Control and Advanced Mechatronics to present and discuss the latest developments.
The workshop covers, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Adaptive Systems
- Assistive Robotics and Mechatronics
- Identification of Human Behaviour and Operation
- AI, Human Intelligence, Learning, and Understanding including Cognition
- Modelling, Identification, Optimization, simulation, and Control Methodologies
- Human-Machine, Computer and Mechatronics Interface
- Unmanned ground vehicles and autonomous systems
- Software development, benchmarking tests, and applications
- Intelligent Control
- Advanced Mechatronics
- Intelligent Automation
- Intelligent Logistics
- Scheduling and Planning for Mobile robots
- Control and optimization techniques
- Networked Based Control Systems
- Wireless networks and Distributed Control
- Medical Robotics
- Sensors and Actuators
The workshop welcomes participation from researchers and practitioners in computing, engineering and manufacturing worldwide.
Certificates will be awarded to the three best student papers. Selected papers will be included in two special issues in the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part I, Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, and the International Journal of Control, and the Proceedings of the Workshop will be published by Springer. There will also be a session during the workshop on collaboration for an FP7 application.
