Haughton Christmas Lights

Haughton Christmas Lights

Lecturer and parish councillor Ian Sunley gets lit up every Christmas, or at least his home does, in fact living in Haughton is an illuminating experience at Christmas with the Haughton Christmas Lights on until January 3rd 2011.

Many houses in the village of Haughton have got together and produce a festive display at this time of year which brightens the lives of others by raising money for charity.  The local bus driver dims the bus's internal lights and slows down as it passes thorough the village so that passengers can enjoy the show.  You may have seen the village lights in the past on BBC Midlands Today or Ready Steady Cook. Last year the donation boxes raised £9000 for the Air Ambulance and Katherine House Hospice.

A great festive treat for the family Haughton is on the A518 Stafford to Telford Road approximately 4 miles to the West of Stafford.
