Anna Debenham - Anna's job title is Front End developer, which basically means she builds the part of the website that users interact with using HTML and CSS. She often works on projects from the very start, designing wireframes, working out the IA, designing the branding, the look and feel, then coding it up and launching the site. She has also launched an online magazine called Scrunchup, aimed at young people in the industry. Find more on her website or follow her on twitter
Aral Balken - Aral is an Independent Interaction Designer and Developer with over a decade of experience in creating web, Flash, desktop, and mobile applications. His latest iPhone app, Feathers, was featured by Apple as "New and Notable" and reached #1 in the What's Hot list in the US. It is often cited as an example of beautiful, emotional design. Aral aims to build beautiful, empathic apps that create joy and delight. He shares his knowledge, experiences, frustrations, and joys via his Geek Ninja Factory dojos, blog, tweets, and the numerous talks he gives around the world every year.
A series of brilliant presentations kicked off with Remy Sharp discussing HTML5 and JavaScript API's followed by Anna Debenham giving a brief summary of her Experience as a Web Designer. After a brief break the session recommenced with Aral Balken on the topic of Beyond Usability: The Art of Emotional Design followed by Bruce Lawson explaining How to destroy The Web.
