Monumental Games Partnership

Massive Multiplayer On-line Game middleware and online game developer Monumental Games have given the Faculty's new Multiplayer Online Games Design award a £150,000 licence to use as an integral part of the award. The award, which starts September 2008, already has 35 students expected to enrol who will benefit from this new partnership. This adds to our exisiting partnership with Rare Ltd who moved their motion capture studio to the Faculty last September.
The Faculty's close links with the industry lead both to industry placements and post graduate employment. 2007 Games Design graduate Luke Maskell as joined Gusto Games as a junior artist while MSc Games Design graduate Sarah Jones will be working for Asylum Games. Undergraduate Stuart Butler has a placement at Jester and is working on a TT Superbikes Real Road Racing Championships game set for release on 30th May.
