Training in advanced industrial robot programming

Robotics lecturer Sam Wane and robotics student Dan Hart were sponsored a place on the Kuka robotics intensive four day training course in July.
Each place normally costs £1300 and was kindly provided by Kuka to ensure the University stays up to date with the latest advances in robot programming.
"The course was hard work but fun, and I'd like to thank Kevin Amos, our trainer for delivering an excellent training package", says Sam.
Robotics and maths student, Dan Hart, cut his holiday short to return to Stafford from Essex to complete the course.
"We now have the accreditation to write programs for the industrial robots in a factory setting and have the certificate to prove it", Sam told us.
The university is looking into the possibility of aquiring a new Kuka robot arm for use in its courses and enterprise work.
