Robots in the home- Coming soon or urban myth?

The Manchester science festival starts on 24th October and one theme is 'Walking with Robots'.
So naturally FCET's Sam Wane is involved throughout but specifically on Tuesday 27th at the Trafford Centre where he is running a Cafe Sci entitled 'Robots in the home'. Can robots do the housework or even make a cup of tea? Sam will be talking about what it takes to make a robot that can make a cup of tea and introducing members of the public to various robots. It probably isn't giving the game away to much to say that there must be a fews nags to iron out as doesn't yet have a robot butler serving him tea and scones in D10.
There are two sessions 11am-12 and 3pm-4 at the Trafford Centre bandstand but check the website for this and other activities both robot related and not,
