Sam Wane at the Science Museum

The Science Museum in London has just held a Festival entitled Robotsville.
FCET's Sam Wane was invited to give a presentation on robotics at the museum on 10th December and is shown here with Kathleen Richardson, an anthropologist who has worked with humanoid robots at MIT and on the right is Andrew Wildman, illustrator for Transformers and storyboard creator for Dr Who (he created the Xmas special!)
Sam talked about how biology has influenced robotics research and what we can learn from animal behaviour. Conversely, robotics imitating animals can also teach us about animal behaviour. He included lots of live demonstrations by projecting the robots moving on the floor onto a big screen.
