CE00270-7 Methods and Issues of E-Investigation


This module covers approaches to E-investigation and associated legal issues. Types of

computer misuse and tools, techniques and methods available to detect such misuse are

considered. Prominent and emerging cases are examined. Specifically it will address: Basic

concepts of civil contract, sole traders, VAT, employment law and other associated issues,

The data protection act,
Evaluation and assessment of risks to computer systems, Tools, techniques and methods of

detecting computer misuse, Concepts of E-Payment, including E-Cash
Users and protection, ethics, privacy and copyright.
